The Green Stride is looking forward to its 2nd year in Newburyport! Last year brought great success with over 1,700 participants as we gave over $13,000 to the Life is good Playmakers. This year, we've teamed up with Life is good to raise tens of thousands more (maybe even hundred thousands) and to work hard on creating what we believe to be the greatest running event north of Boston.

Continuing to set eco-friendly standards and promote a healthy and green lifestyle, Green Stride is committed to be a leader in sustainable excellence. The post-race party with good food, great beer and rockin' bands will be a carry on tradition for 2012 and beyond. The historic, scenic course and ideal October running conditions in New England are sure to bring a wonderful atmosphere to Newburyport on October 21st. 

With the anticipated growth for this year, the new hosting location will be along the Merrimac River in the rear of the Towle Building at 260 Merrimac St. (adjacent to the North End Boat Club from last year). All pre-registered runners will receive a top-quality shirt (TBD) as well as another original end-of-race medal. There are pleny more announcements to come, however, register now to ensure your spot on starting line.
