Our cash prizes increased from 2016. We will give cash prices to the top 5 male and female finishers ($1,000 to each first place finisher).
Energy Gels and H20
The course will be stocked with water stops, and we will have Energy Gels too.
Parking and Directions
The start of the race is approximately at 202 Merrimac St on the corner of Kent St. Almost all of the streets off of Merrimac St are parking friendly. Please be courteous and respectful to the neighbors living in these neighborhoods and be sure to not block a driveway or park too close to a fire hydrant. Carpool if you can – we’re expecting a big crowd! Keep in mind that if you arrive less than an 1.5 hours from the start, it is best to not drive too close to the start line as you may be in traffic.
A medical team will be onsite for any hiccups that happen. 13.1 miles is a long way, so train well and listen to your body on race day, please!
We will have a bag check available to all runners. You can pick up your belongings after the race. Just be sure to leave enough time to drop everything off!
You will be able to pick up your race bib and goodies the day prior to the race. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NO LONGER OFFERING THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE RACE. We will be hosting an off-site packet pick-up at Jack Rabbit located at 27 Water St in Newburyport (formerly known as the Greater Boston Running Company). If you are unable to make these pick-up times, you may pick up your registration onsite at the event on race day beginning two hours prior to the start.
Saturday 11 AM – 3 PM
Craft Beer at Post-Race
Nothing, and we mean nothing is better than post-race beers. After you run you’ll be able to enjoy beer from Peak Organic and Newburyport Brewing Company. Can’t beat it!
A high-quality NBPT Half Marathon race shirt and branded pint glass (if registered on, or before 8/5) are included in your registration. Our race shirts are always top quality and we’re proud to give out a 100% recycled tech shirt made by Recover Brands.
Our relay will be 2-Person only this year (sorry teams of 4)! Each of you will run about a 10K with a bus getting you to the hand off location. This popular portion of our race sells out fast, so sign up early. You’ll receive a tee and a medal too – don’t worry! Prizes for top male, female and mixed teams awarded!
